My name is Ian Zatman.

I have been a freelance IT consultant for many years, working primarily in the financial services sector, and have worked internationally in the UK, USA, Israel, the Netherlands, and France.

Over that time I have founded several businesses and designed and written bespoke software. I have delivered data extraction and security-related software to banks in a number of countries, including the UK, France, the Netherlands, Hungary, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Saudi Arabia.

In recent years my work has increasingly focused on the practical risks around privacy, secure communication, and over-reliance on third-party platforms.

My current project is SecurityNet.global  -  a system designed around a simple principle: sensitive data that is never centrally stored cannot later be extracted, breached, or retrospectively recovered.

I am currently based in the UK, living on an apple farm near Tunbridge Wells.

I occasionally demonstrate work privately when it’s relevant.

Selected organisations I have worked with include:

  • Pacific Bell, San Francisco
  • Redwood Software, Sunnyvale
  • Tandem Computers, Santa Clara
  • Lloyds Banking Group, London
  • Société Générale, Paris and London
  • ING Bank, Amsterdam
  • Bank of America Merrill Lynch, London
  • Kleinwort Hambros, London
  • Investec, London
